People Wizard: The People Wizard uses our own database that contains information on nearly 200 million people in the US. The content has been developed from information contained in phone directories, DMV records, voter registrations, and many other public files.

Background Wizard: Background Wizard will open up the whole vast world of public records, both online and offline. You need no experience at all to conduct background checks using your program. Just follow the instructions and your program will direct you to all of the public records you need for a full background check. To begin a background check, click on Verify Personal Information. The way that the Cyber Detective is constructed allows you to choose the steps in any order. You can skip from one category to another or follow the Background Wizard's format. An example of a Background Wizard search result for Lawsuit History is shown below.

Search: The Search category has been divided up into 21 subcategories in which to locate information on topics from adoption to computer viruses. These subcategories are listed beneath the Search bar on the left hand side of the program interface. Simply select a topic and click on the icon to begin your search. You will notice a list of links with a title and description for each in the top portion of the screen. We refer to this portion as the grid. When you click on a title, the information will appear in the window below. You can toggle back and forth between screens by clicking on the navigational arrows on the toolbar above this window.

If you have checked out all of the links and still have not located what you need, you have two more options under Search at the bottom of the grid list:

"Didn't find what you were looking for?": Here you will use keywords to go out and search the Net for more options. We have provided a list of suggested keywords for your convenience for each topic. Simply select a keyword, or choose one of your own, type it in the search box and hit "Search". This search option can always be accessed by clicking on the globe icon next to the print icon. (see the red arrow in the picture below)

"More search engines": By clicking on this option, you will see a table of search engine resources. Simply click on the name of the engine of your choice.

Professional Tips

Tools: We have included four bonus programs located under the Tools category.

Disk Snoop: Disk Snoop is a simple little utility that will allow you to search a hard drive for different Internet type files. Quick searches are provided for Internet graphic files, HTML files and text files. Disk Snoop will also allow you to search for a specific file using a file name.

Superlok: Superlok is a simple-to-use encryption program. Both encryption and decryption use the same process. The first time you process a file, it will encrypt. The second time, with the same password, it will decrypt. It basically works like a toggle switch.

Search Utility: The Search Utility is a very useful tool that remains as an icon in your system tray (where your clock is) until called upon, at which point it becomes a powerful desktop search tool for the Internet. With it, one can locate people, search newsgroups, locate businesses, or even perform general searches, using only a couple of key strokes.

FBI Files: In this report, you will discover not only how to obtain your files and where to send for them, but you will also discover some of the codes and acronyms used in FBI files.
